Please join us in welcoming Dawn Parker to the NAFEM team in the newly created position of vice president, programs & partnerships. Though she originally planned on an accounting career, Dawn developed a strong background in project management, strategic planning and program development — and we’re glad she did!
Dawn is spearheading a broad range of partnerships – from information/best practice/research programs to our growing relationships with the New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute (NOCHI), The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and community colleges across the country. She’s developing the best way to deliver and communicate these services to our members.
Dawn comes to us from the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), where she served as managing director of market development. Among her career highs, she counts the time she worked on a team for the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce/GO Topeka Economic Partnership to bring an extremely large manufacturing facility to Topeka, Kansas.
Away from work, you’ll most likely find this Italian food lover reading, antiquing or spending time with her twin daughters. And if she’s not there — look for her at her favorite place to visit — Sanibel/Captiva Island, Fla.
We are excited to have her on the team and look forward to seeing her do great things for our members!
