NAFEM continues advocating for fair PFAS regulations with states

As more states introduce a wide variety of PFAS-related regulations, NAFEM continues to advocate for regulatory requirements that protect human health and the environment and are grounded in strong scientific principles and provide regulatory certainty to the business community.

  • NAFEM joined more than 50 organizations voicing opposition to California Senate Bill 682 that would regulate commercial products that may contain PFAS.
  • New York is the latest state to introduce legislation addressing PFAS. Assembly Bill 7738 includes cookware used in homes, restaurants, institutional settings and commercial kitchens.
  • Conversely, Connecticut is working on a bill to exempt certain cookware from the statutory PFAS requirements applicable to consumer goods. Senate Bill 887.
