Revised TLC seeks members for new Task Groups

NAFEM has restructured the Technical Liaison Committee (TLC) to best anticipate, prepare for and respond to future needs of the commercial foodservice and supplies industry. “TLC is the best open forum discussion of technical issues, said Chair Bill Sickles, P.E. manager, product safety and compliance, InterMetro, Wilkes-Barre, Penn. “While TLC still serves its initial purpose, we’re happy to be making some improvements.”

To provide even greater member value, TLC will reduce its reliance on face-to-face meetings so more members can participate and reorganize around seven task groups addressing:

  • Commercial Kitchen Ventilation
  • Equipment Communication
  • Fuels
  • International Compliance
  • Refrigeration
  • Research & Development
  • Sanitation

“TLC is always a valuable resource for NAFEM members,” said Vice Chair Stephen Schaefer, CFSP, Group Leader, Hoshizaki America, Peachtree City, Ga. “The new Task Groups will help us further focus on what we need in the different areas affecting our companies.”

  • Members are asked to identify their interest in serving on a TLC Task Group by completing a brief survey by Dec. 10.
