NAFEM advocates for historic infrastructure investment

NAFEM, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and nearly 120 other associations submitted a letter to Congress requesting a “bipartisan, forward-looking, long-term investment in all kinds of infrastructure to renew and expand the economy, grow jobs and compete globally.” The letter to Senate and House majority and minority leaders also requested that Congress address the revenue shortfalls state transportation departments are facing due to decreased in road travel as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Acting now to invest in our nation’s infrastructure will avoid interruption to ongoing projects and empower state officials and the private sector to proceed with planning new, bold infrastructure projects across the country.”
