NAFEM/NAM working to protect manufacturers from frivolous COVID-related lawsuits

NAFEM joined the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other organizations in urging lawmakers to protect essential industries operating during shutdowns from potential COVID-19-related lawsuits. Organizations called on elected officials to pass “targeted, commonsense reforms to protect companies against abuses of the legal system that would punish manufacturers working tirelessly to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.” A recent public opinion poll shows widespread support among registered voters and across party lines for these protections. NAFEM members can submit an email to their elected officials requesting these protections here.
