CARB considering amending GHG emissions reporting requirements

The California’s Air Resources Board (CARB) is seeking comments on proposed amendments to its regulations for the mandatory reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. CARB is looking to ensure that reported GHG data are accurate and fully support the California Cap on Gas Emissions and Market Based Compliance Mechanisms. The proposed changes clarify reporting requirements, and add/clarify data elements for emissions and product data reporting. They also include amendments to ensure accurate reporting of emissions from imported electricity. CARB invites oral comments at a hearing on Oct. 25. Written comments must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Pacific, Oct. 22.
