CARB releases draft Community Air Protection Blueprint

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has issued the initial draft of its statewide air protection strategy and monitoring plan. The Draft Blueprint outlines the process for identifying impacted communities, statewide strategies to reduce emissions, and proposed criteria for development of community emissions reduction programs and community air monitoring campaigns. Community meetings and workshops will take place through the summer to inform the development of the proposed final Blueprint, which will be presented to the CARB board by October 1, as required by California Assembly Bill 617.
