When and how did your business get started?
Cleveland-based Direct Recruiters Inc. (DRI) has 35+ years of experience helping organizations in North America hire talent, focusing the last two years on positions for the foodservice E&S industry. We work heavily in manufacturing, design, and distribution and collaborate with executive management teams, hiring authorities, and human resource leaders to fill key roles with top industry professionals.
What do you love most about the foodservice E&S industry?
We never cease to be amazed by this industry’s role in delivering new and innovative ways to help feed people. More and more disposable income is going to dining – and we’re truly fascinated by the technology and engineering that goes into the products that create bolder ideas and more efficient ways to cater our fast-paced lifestyles.

What do you find most challenging about the foodservice E&S industry?
Filling certain highly-skilled positions can be tricky. Every day, we’re confronted with the growing need for foodservice technicians – and we work hard to find a good fit for our clients quickly. We’re noticing that many organizations need extra help finding skilled labor in these more advanced roles – especially in a labor market that’s on the up and up.
What excites you about joining NAFEM?
We see this as an opportunity to further immerse ourselves in the foodservice industry, so we can better understand our clients’ needs. We want to get an insider’s perspective on the challenges that manufacturers and dealers face, and how we can adapt our services to help them find the best possible talent.
