DOE announces new Process Rule meeting date; extends the comment period

The U.S Department of Energy (DOE) has published a Federal Register notice announcing a follow up hearing date for the Process Rule and a new due date for comments.

The follow up meeting is Thursday, Apr. 11, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Washington, DC. To attend the meeting in person, register via email. To attend the meeting via webinar, click here.

Public comments are now due May 6. Details for submitting comments are included in the Federal Register notice.

The proposed changes to the Process Rule are intended to improve the agency’s methods for setting energy efficiency standards and test procedures for residential appliances and commercial equipment, enhancing transparency, accountability, and regulatory certainty for stakeholders.
