DOE/NAM to help improve energy efficiency of U.S. manufacturers

The U.S. spends more than $200 billion dollars each year to power its manufacturing plants. To help U.S. manufacturers drive energy productivity improvements and accelerate adoption of energy-efficient technologies, the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) have created the Sustainability in Manufacturing partnership. The organizations will work together to identify opportunities for energy-efficiency improvements and recognize companies and leaders that have led the way in applying of innovative energy-reduction strategies.
