Ready to get certified?

The first step to achieving a certification is getting 35 credits of foodservice experience approved by NAFEM. Use our Credit Accumulation Calculator (or download the worksheet) to estimate your current credit total, then create an account or log in to upload proof of credits as you earn them.

Each item you submit for CFSP credit must have the required back-up documentation scanned and uploaded into NAFEM’s system or the credits can’t be approved. Accepted back-up documentation includes a copy of a badge, a copy of a certificate, a copy of a diploma, or something that clearly shows your name and the name/date of the event to directly prove participation.

Once 35 credits are approved, you can purchase CFSP study materials and then take the Online Exam. You must pass the exam with a score of 75% or higher within one year of purchase. Don’t worry, we provide a variety of ways to study and prepare!

What is NAFEM’s CFSP In-person Overview and when is it offered?

The In-person Overview is a day-long CFSP overview seminar offered at NAFEM’s Chicago headquarters. The next overview is Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Once I have attained the CFSP designation, how do I maintain it?

To maintain your certification, pay dues ($25/year) and participate in one credit-earning activity each year. While one credit is required to maintain your certification each year, there is no limit to how many credits you can earn.

How do I report/update my foodservice industry activities to earn additional credits?

Sign into your account to report industry activities and view your certification records and status. Remember to provide proof of attendance to earn credits: simply scan supporting documents into your computer and upload them to your account.

Are there different levels of CFSP designation I can work toward?

There are three levels of achievement in the CFSP program. You advance naturally through the levels of certification as you earn the required number of credits.

  • Level III: 35 (minimum number of credits required to take the CFSP exam) to 54 credits accumulated
  • Level II: 55 to 74 credits accumulated
  • Level I: 75+ credits accumulated

Can I include a CFSP logo on my website?

Once you have been certified, you can add the designation to your email signatures and any day-to-day business communications. The logo (.jpg) is available for you to download and proudly showcase!

Can I get a refund or transfer my payment to someone else?

Once you authorize payment for a CFSP bundle or any a la carte item, you will not be eligible to receive a refund or transfer payments.

What is the CFSP Wall of Fame?

Earning your certification is a big achievement which is why we proudly highlight all of our Certified Foodservice Professionals on the CFSP Wall of Fame displayed at The NAFEM Show as well as online.
